PAUSE: Grief at the Table (public event!)

  • Reparations Club 3054 South Victoria Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90016 United States (map)

PAUSE invites folks to gather and learn about the intersection of grief and our identities. In the panel conversation and activities, we'll explore how our race impacts how we grieve, why we grieve, and how to care for ourselves and our community while grieving.

Artists and speakers Charlene Lam and Roshni Kavate will highlight not only the way we process grief personally, but also how we can process it via our relationship to our bodies, interacting with art, and exploration of culturally-rooted nourishment and ritual.

During the event, guests will be invited to:

  1. Hear from our panel about the connection between race, identity, and how we grieve

  2. Enjoy refreshments paired with thought exercises and rituals related to grief and nourishment

  3. Interact with and take home end-of-life and grief resources created by POC for POC (physical/written and digital)

Panel and Q&A will run from approximately 7-8:30pm.

Space is very limited.
