Workshop & Activity Descriptions
Powered by Prism Pop-Up (Workshops & Activities)
Conceptualized by founder and funeral director Shannan Guillory, Prism is a modern take on a traditional funeral home.
Prism is a memorial studio that blends deathcare, grief support, and community wellness. Along with affordable and unique options to celebrate life, Prism will have a multitude of intentional, non denominational resources that support grieving families through losing a loved one.
The Powered By Prism Pop-Up is an immersive experience, allowing attendees to learn about our mission, and explore bite-sized versions of the types of events that Prism will host. The first end-of- life offering of its kind, Prism’s goal is to create a third space that expands beyond the offerings of a traditional funeral home, one that not only cares for the deceased, but offers support for those left behind.
With the help of our community and advocates for affordable, sustainable, and unique end of life options, Shannan hopes to bring Prism to the Los Angeles Area in 2025.

A favored and effective way of tending to grief is through holistic and creative practices, nature's gifts, and the presence of others. Let's commune with all these elements, along with the support of BACII’s beloved flower essence grief potion. This potion becomes a companion in helping us soften and expand as we practice letting go.
Together we'll embark on a letting go meditation, express ourselves through art, storytelling and then close with a baci ritual.
Join Mangda from BACII for an enriching experience to embrace our lives, our grief, and our joys.Meet your guide ~ Mangda Sengvanhpheng is an artist, death doula, and the founder of BACII - a platform that focuses on loss and grief while providing services and offerings that renew our engagement to life. Her life and death work is guided by her Laotian last name, which means “the light of the full moon.” Mangda’s work has been featured in Vogue, VICE, NY Mag’s Curbed, Brydie, Chacruna Institute and more.
